Confectionery is the third most important category in Travel Retail. Moreover, year after year the category growth has been outperforming total travel retail significantly. In 2008 confectionery reached a new milestone when the category went on to outgrow the cigarette category. The global consumption per capita of chocolate and sugar confectionery is almost equal. This, however, is not equally represented in duty free shops throughout the world. We strongly believe that a portfolio that more adequately represents the worldwide customer consumption of confectionery, would greatly fuel further category growth.

CHUPA CHUPS
Chupa Chups is the world’s number 1 lollipop. Cavemen, who licked honey from a stick, were the first people to eat lollipop-like sweets. Lollipops as we know them now, were first created in 1958.
